Hells Angels VS Blood Family Mafia | The Ultimate GANG WAR
Imagine a world where a single motorcycle club has exerted influence over a nation’s criminal network for decades—the Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club. Known for their powerful presence, law enforcement recognizes them as one of Canada’s most formidable organizations. The Angels hold their ground through a combination of reputation and coercion. Any group wishing to operate under their auspices must pay a hefty 10% tax or face severe repercussions.
But what unfolds when a younger, more aggressive entity, inspired by the ruthless strategies of Mexican drug cartels, steps up to challenge their dominance? This scenario leads to a violent conflict that has claimed numerous lives and shows no signs of stopping.
The Hell’s Angels marked their Canadian beginning in 1977 by absorbing the Popeyes Motorcycle Club in Montreal. Within twenty years, they had expanded their influence across the country. An ex-member, who confided in authorities, stated the club’s operational mantra: absolute dominion at any cost.
“If a competitor doesn’t comply in the drug trade, you eliminate them; others will understand and cooperate,” he explained.
This uncompromising approach fortified the Hell’s Angels’ supreme authority, instilling fear in rivals and consolidating their empire. However, the emergence of a new, equally fierce competitor has disrupted this established hierarchy, sparking an ongoing violent struggle that could redefine the Canadian underworld’s future.
The Hell’s Angels’ story is one of power, control, and survival’s harsh realities in organized crime. As the battle rages on, the critical question is: Can the Hell’s Angels maintain their grip, or will the newcomers dethrone them?
In Quebec’s shadowy world of 1994, a surprising alliance took shape, setting the stage for a dramatic shift. The Rock Machine Motorcycle Club and various independent clubs, street gangs, and dealers realized that solo efforts against the Hell’s Angels were futile. They united, forming a coalition to challenge the reigning masters of crime in Canada.
Over eight violent years, this alliance waged a fierce war, the bloodiest biker conflict ever recorded. This brutal clash resulted in 162 deaths, transforming Quebec’s streets into war zones. Despite their fierce resistance, the coalition was ultimately defeated, securing the Hell’s Angels’ dominance and their complete control over Quebec’s drug trade.
With their adversaries dismantled, the Angels exerted unrivaled control over the illicit drug market. Any group wanting to partake in the trade had to pay a mandatory 10% tax, reinforcing their unchallenged supremacy. The Quebec Biker War underscored the Angels’ ruthless tactics, enhancing their fearsome image but also imparting a lesson: war disrupts business.
The Hell’s Angels couldn’t evade law enforcement’s scrutiny despite their victory. Extensive raids led to the imprisonment of several senior members, and in 2009, the Quebec government seized all the Angels’ clubhouses, significantly hampering their operations.
This situation allowed various gangs to establish their own supply and distribution networks, reducing dependency on the Hell’s Angels. As these gangs grew more confident and self-reliant, they questioned the need to pay the notorious 10% tax.
By 2012, the Blood Family Mafia (BFM) in the Quebec City region openly defied the Angels. Led by the ambitious 28-year-old Dave Terell, the BFM ignited a bloody conflict against the Hell’s Angels. Terell, an unlikely criminal mastermind, hailed from a respectable family and had the potential to attend university but chose a difficult path instead.
On his 18th birthday in 2014, Terell attended a concert near Quebec City. An incident outside a bar led to a fight, and Terell stabbed two individuals. This attack marked the start of his violent career, propelling him into the criminal underworld where he now challenges the Hell’s Angels’ reign.
Upon his release, Terell immersed himself further into the criminal underworld, rapidly constructing a narcotics trafficking network. He sourced his supply from Mataa, a Hell’s Angels member whose father, Mark, was a founding figure of the club’s first Quebec chapter. Terell’s operations expanded swiftly, positioning him as one of the largest distributors in the Quebec City area.
