The coroner was not able to determine the exact number of shots because of the overspay of pellets at close range. They admitted to reloading once even though they did not need to.

They were not eating ice cream. Jose was an Olympic swimmer. He was a top athlete before he moved to America.

These parents could have hired nannies for their chidren, instead they abused them, even in public, around family and neighbors. The father punching a 5 year old while he cried and pissed himself… in front of company.

They could have sent them to boarding schools. Instead, they kept them at home and abused them. Lyle's hair falling out and writing the story about saving his brother, even if it means he goes to jail.

The mother was complicit, pimping her own children to a pedophile, like so many in Hollywierd.

The abuse is pretty well documented, for example, with medical records of Erik's throat injury. The nude photos 📸 with bruises all over their little legs.

The brothers had been abused and terrorized for years and did not have many options or choices available. For this reason, I think their sentences should be commuted.

The Father would have done anything 2 hide his secret.
Including killing his own Sons.
BUT what they did was not the solution.
I do think they snapped.
Look up the blue eyed butcher case.
She snapped & stabbed her husband 200x.
She’s out now. Served a long sentenced too.
I watched their trial years ago.
Had no clue abt boys being abused but I do now!
Let them out!!!

Sorry but so many facts prove money motivation. They spoke with Dr Oziel for months and never mentioned sex abuse until the trial. Lyle is on tape bragging how he SNOWED the jury about the abuse. They destroyed/forged a will. They accused their mother of sex abuse too oh please. Lyle tried to bribe jamie to lie, 2 of his friends, likely his relatives. Yeah Jose was a mean strict dad. But if you have any critical thinking and look at trial transcripts you would be skeptical. Shapiro knew. These are charming psychopaths. But they will probably get out and make a fortune

Woman love these two brothers. They write to them and propose marriage. They sit around and listen to true crime stories all day. They are passionate about getting these two guys released…lol

My parents were model parents. Everyone loved them. We grew up poor, and our parents sacrificed for us. We would never harm them.

The Menendez brothers had wealth, but didn't feel loved and valued. They truly had much less than I had. I had two loving parents.

I doubt the boys, at that time, understood their wealth. I doubt Jose told them how much they would inherit. If the SA is true, when was Jose going to stop it? These young men didn't want their father to have another opportunity to abuse them. Kitty wasn't any help to them. She was depressed and on medications. They only had themselves to count my on. There was no one to come to their rescue. This is what I feel they were thinking. This was a horrible execution style assault on their parents. I don't condone it, but if Jose was abusing his sons, Jose drove them to this because no one was going to rescue them.

I wish them a promising future. I don't believe it was for $$$$. They knew they were rich, and this spending spree was their only freedom, finally, and no monster dad abusing them or breaking their spirit.

First of all they didn’t live in the Midwest they lived in New Jersey second of all Jose was a star swimmer. He was an athletic person which is why he wanted his sons to be perfect. The mother knew because the cousins have both said if Lila and Eric were in the room with Jose, you were not allowed to walk down that hallway so she knew and she admitted to Eric that she knew.

Nobody mentions the screenplay anymore, Erik wrote in high school about someone killing their family for money. Seems parallel to what happened.
The letter that recently appeared that was supposedly written 8 months prior to the murders, the letter was to their cousin from Erik. Seems like a key piece of evidence in their favor about abuse, can hardly believe Erik or his cousin would have forgotten about it during evidence collection for the 1st trial. Was that letter written as part of the premeditated plan? That is why l feel the planning of the murders was more than just a week or two.

Last I heard ‘the letter’ was undated. How has it been confirmed as evidence?
The ME had to go in with an umbrella, it was raining human remains from the ceiling.
They were not held captive, why does no one expect them to have walked away if they were in fact abused?

Downvoted, within the 1st 2mins you mentioned the parents were eating icecream, shows how little research you did for this. Also Jose was on a swimming scholarship to college, he was training for the Olympics back in Cuba. But he was a failed athlete in his eyes bec his parents were both athletic, his mom was a 5 time gold medal swimmer. Kitty was also an abuser, she sa lyle from 11-13/14. It only stopped bec lyle no longer wanted to sleep with her and she became very nasty after. Wish you at least bothered to red Randy's book or made a little effort to research. Also cocking the gun wasn't necessarily conscious, in the heat of the moment, with the adrenalin, paranoia, heightened emotions and smoke, they could've acted in a fight response. Though lyle showed more presence of mind than Erik who shot at just about anything, while Lyle was more precise. The boys were not thinking of getting away, they did it that night in the heat of the moment, thinking they were going to die that night

If we all agreed Jose was abusing and the mom knew, does that make it okay they shotgunned their parents in cold blood?? This was a brutal murder! I'd like to hear from doctors and those who have been involved in their treatment to know they are rehabilitated and safe to release back into society. Who are the Menendez brothers today? Their character? I hope they are changed and can start again, they were so young at the time. But I also hope those in authority, psychologists can give the public reassurance about it.

I just reached the point where you say they were shot 16 times. That means the brothers reloaded. That immediately made me feel they were abused. That is total rage and hatred.

DA has no power resentencing. He had to wait the judge decision. Not easy. DA going to be out of office. The new DA sworn in office in December.

Cuba wasn’t communist back then Jose left because Castro brought communism! Jose grew up in a time when Cuba was a paradise…it changed in the blink of an eye, so sad!

The Menendez mansion was previously owned by Robin Greer and friend of OJ. When Nicole was pregnant with Sidney – the baby.shower was in THE room (den) where the murders happened.
